Baloney.

Trump politicized the pandemic and no gas lighting or projecting about other politics at other times is going to change that fact.  There is no "both sides" to describe how Trump and his followers politicized and confused the covid public health recommendations.  Trump was the biggest spreader of covid misinformation in 2020 before he was banned from social media.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/10/01/trump-is-single-largest-driver-of-covid-19-misinformation-cornell-study-finds/

Facts matter more than feelings.

You cant be serious with that ridiculous article and study. Article from Oct 2020 (hmm timing?), study looking at others articles, not peer reviewed, and later withdrawn, claims already debunked (although I do agree that his comments needed clarifing). But thanks for making my point about the politization re the pandemic. Maybe we should be asking how many people have suffered and or died because of Covid r/t the information (ie information deemed mis/disinformation by "experts") being censored (including the use of HCQ).

As you can see Biden lied about what Trump said:

I didn't make "your point" unless your point was that in the absence of Trump's divisive rhetoric filled with misinformation and rebellion against masking and social distancing, the USA might have had a much less tragic experience with covid for the past 2 years. Doubling down won't make Trump less responsible for his words and actions.

You are welcome to share some articles and your opinion about what information was censored, by whom, for what purpose and how that censored information might have saved lives.  In the absence of that it sounds like you are repeating partisan baloney for the purpose of stirring things up in a dead thread. How many people do you think might have suffered or died because they believed Trump's view that masks were optional?

https://www.bu.edu/articles/2022/underreporting-covid-19-deaths/

Quote

The researchers found substantial variation in the percentage of excess deaths assigned to COVID across the country, with counties in the South and West especially likely to underreport pandemic deaths. COVID deaths were also more likely to be missed in counties with fewer primary care physicians, less access to health insurance, and more people dying at home; communities of color were disproportionately impacted. Some undercounts, says Stokes, may even be politically motivated.

“Accurate and timely mortality surveillance is critical to pandemic preparedness and response efforts,” he says. “Without accurate mortality data, it becomes very challenging to devise effective policy responses or to develop fair and equitable responses targeting the most heavily affected communities.”

Do you think that politics might play a part in how states are reporting and counting covid data?

How do you know if a politican is lying? Their lips are moving

Donald Trump is not a point of truth, he lies even more than most regular politcans. You are correct he did not avocate for drinking bleach. He did however talk about Injecting bleach and seeing whether it would be used inside the lungs.

Lesson to be learned from this, doesnt matter whether its drunken or injected or some how nebulised, bleach is not meant to be taken internally. Donald Trump is still an idiot!

Sheesh, Did you even read the politifat link I posted? Trump (no matter how much you don’t like him) did not tell people to drink bleach.
Perhaps it would be more productive to worry about what Biden/admin is doing now, like for instance, withholding data CDC and FDA data from the public, should make us all wonder why.

Biden/admin just keeps proving how incompetent and destructive they are to our Country (the US). Maybe yours too in some way, IDK.

We simply understand that Trump was the largest source of covid misinformation before he was banned from social media platforms for his inflammatory lies.  We also understand that Biden isn't directing the activities of the FDA or CDC...it was Trump's administration that engaged in unprecedented interference in those institutions.  Maybe you forgot about the evidence of his corrupt attempt to control that messaging...or maybe your preferred media outlets didn't report on that.

Speaking about the political interference in the CDCs messaging this former CDC director said;

It really was unprecedented. The CDC was undermined, sidelined, and maligned in a way that has never happened before. Materials were put on the CDC website that weren’t written by the CDC. I would compare that to someone writing graffiti on a national monument, except as someone pointed out to me [at least in that case] everyone knows it’s graffiti. I think it’ll take some time for the trust in the CDC to be regained.

It's seems like you have a much different measure for and definition of "incompetent" and "destruction".

And we simply understand that the fact that Trump and others were banned/canceled etc was completely political and still is (except in extreme rare cases). This is why people continue to not trust the government, bc of the continued “politics” in place of the actual science being used to create policies etc. So you think Trump was having a say so within the CDC etc but Biden doesn’t? Highly unlikely! So you think that the CDC and FDA is withholding data all on their own, so that people have had to sue for the info, again highly unlikely! The Biden admin had pretty much won the contest as the most incompetent destructive President, and in only 1 year ! So, maybe it would be more productive at this point to start holding the Biden admin accountable (instead of blaming Trump for anything and everything) so maybe our Country can once again have some kind of normalcy. Although, I am afraid it is already too late, but I hope not!

Since you've offered nothing in this comment beyond "nuh uh", bluster and bulls*** I'll just suggest that Biden should be as accountable as you want to make Trump...and you don't see any need for accountability for Trump so...

Until you are able to recognize the need for some accountability from Trump, your elevated concern about Biden reads as partisan nonsense.

I read your link and posted a second source that supported that

I agreed that Trump never told people to drink bleach.

I did however comment that he talked about trying to inject or take bleach via the lungs

It seemed that the facts, written during the time in question, are the problem for Daisy4RN.

Even your own source does not say he talked about injecting bleach, he commented (based on other study/MD), that injecting disinfectant to a particular area might help. Did he use the wrong word,   Yes, and I already stated it needed clarifying, and he did.

But again, not sure why some of you remain focused on Trump when Biden is mucking up just about everything he touches, he is a hot mess and you continue to worry about Trump, amazing.

As they say, follow the money and check the authors bias. Facts are most definitely not a problem for me!

Are you discounting facts and evidence because of bias? Seems so...
